by emmajanerushworth in Exhibitions Comments: 0

Joy is a spinning fairy just to add that little bit more magic she has a glass face and is a lovely little soul. She didn’t cause me too much bother and is now on the way to her forever home in Lake Michigan U.S.A. Where I am sure she will be received with great JOY Happy Christmas.

Tess The Diving Fairy Greystones Sunrise.

by emmajanerushworth in Exhibitions Comments: 0

I hope this fairy lifts your spirits as we embrace winter. She was commissioned by an international diving master and is going to live on Cork estuary. I wanted to get really good detail and a watery feeling to her so I have cast her face and arms in glass resin with wire inlay. Each fairy is unique I listen to my client and small hints and direction help me to achieve something just for that person each time. Fairys are made of high-grade stainless steel and very hard wearing for life out doors.

Foxing Around Autumn foxes leaping and standing in beautiful autumnal suroundings.

In the true feeling of Autumn here are the two foxes I have completed during the month of October. One leaping who is going to live in a courtyard garden in Ireland and the other standing who’s forever home is the U.K. This Fox was commissioned in memory of a lost brother who passed very sadly through suicide. He was a great fan of Fantastic Mr Fox I hope he likes him. It was a delight to receive both of these commissions! and I really felt was doing the right thing with my sculpture work when I was able to create Fantastic Mr Fox for my client in memory of his brother.

Boxing Hares Strong and Uplifting Garden Sculpture.

by emmajanerushworth in Exhibitions Comments: 0

I hope to think I’m getting better at wildlife sculptures, in particular, boxing hares. I have really worked on this piece to try and get a definite male and female hair in courtship. Hares box in March and yesterday really felt like March..! The wonderful thing about sculpture for me, is capturing a moment that is only relevant to that creatures habits. I hope that I have captured the strength and an uplifting spirit in this latest tussling couple. I work to a commission which is great and never get disappointed by your requests so let me do something special for you. This pair is being shipped off to the UK tomorrow to a loving garden and a lovely lady I know will love them as much as I loved making them…

My Pocket Irish Fairy

by emmajanerushworth in Exhibitions Comments: 0

It’s taken me a long while and a certain amount of experimentation and practice but I have made a small fairy. I am calling them my range of Pocket Fairies. They are around a third of the size of my garden fairy sculptures but they still take some time. Small isn’t necessarily fast or easier. They can live indoors or outdoors and are also made from high-grade Stainless Steel and will last more than a lifetime.

Sitting Garden Wire Hare Sculpture

by emmajanerushworth in Exhibitions Comments: 0

The sitting hare must be the piece that I have made most frequently in the past three years but each time I find different ways to make them… They always come out with different characters and different expressions. This chap has a very inquisitive look and when he was finished I really could see him looking at me.

Fox adventuring in the Wicklow Mountians

This is my latest commission of a Garden Wire Fox Sculpture. I love that each one has his very own personality this chap is young and fast .. I wish I was!!!!! So it was fitting that he enjoyed an evening adventure in the beautiful Wicklow mountains. Foxes are life size and a half are about 1 meter long and half a meter high and I work to a pose that we discuss before beginning the commission. This chap is going to live in Dublin prowling around some trees at the bottom of the garden a special birthday gift. I would be delighted to work on a special piece as a gift or to mark that special occasion.

Summer the Fairy enjoying her Lake in Roundwood Wicklow Ireland.

by emmajanerushworth in Exhibitions Comments: 0

Summer, has flown off to her new home in County Meath where she is having trouble taking care of a family of unruly frogs that she is soon to have croaking in harmony!. Summer, was commissioned by a family of five boys and a syndicate of sister in-laws as a gift for their loving mum on her 70th birthday, How wonderful… She sits on a moss covered concrete ball at the side of a quiet pond in a lovely garden…..
Each of my fairies is unique individually named. They take around one month to construct and find a unique pose of their own. The wiring is made from high-grade stainless steel that will last a lifetime outdoors. These fairies wings are about a meter wing tip to wing tip and a meter in height when sitting….Look close enough and you can see she has attracted her first dragonfly.
