About Emma Jane
Emma Jane's 20 years experience in designing has spanned interior, garden and fashion design.
Emma was born in Kitwe in Zambia and spent her childhood living in different parts of the world wherever her father was employed as a Petroleum Engineer. After attending Banbury School of Art in Oxfordshire she gained a place at the University of Northumbria where she gained a First Class Honours Degree in Fashion Design and Marketing. As a student her creative talents were recognised and she won an award for her designs from the Royal Academy of Art in London.
At the end of her degree she became a Designer with a Fashion House in Paris where she lived and worked for over 6 years before travelling to the other side of the world spending a year in Hong Kong designing occasion wear.
In 2001 Emma moved to Ireland to design the Gold Range of ladies occasion wear for Michael H. In 2005 she was in the team that won Brand of the Year which was awarded at a ceremony at London’s Grosvenor House.
From 2006 to 2009 Emma Jane ran her own Interior Design company, Whitesands Designs, which had its own range of 100% natural clay paints.
Emma Jane was a finalist in Super Garden 2014 produced by RTE.
Emma Jane lives in Greystones Co. Wicklow, with her husband Paul, sons Oscar and Charlie and her Parisian dog, Harry.
